The Cathach (“The Battler”), a 6th-century Psalter, is Ireland’s oldest surviving manuscript. Attributed to St. Columba, it sparked the Battle of Cúl Dreimhne after a copying dispute with St. Finnian. Later owned by the O’Donnells and preserved in a 11th-century Cumdach, it was used as a battle talisman. Now at the Royal Irish Academy, it’s a vital piece of Irish heritage.
