We’re at the Black Star Gate, atop the Gateway to Africa. Adjacent is Asomdwe Park, where a president rests. Behind is the Christianborg Castle, once a slave trade point. Ghana gained independence in 1957, erecting the Job 600 Parliament building and the Chinese-built national stadium. The Court Complex stands to the left, while the renowned 28th February road stretches towards British Accra.
