Dr. Du Bois arrived in Ghana at 93, receiving a seven-room bungalow from Ghana’s first president, Kwame Nkrumah. His guest room has been transformed into a free public library to honor his legacy of empowering African Americans with education and knowledge of their rights. It welcomes visitors to explore their African heritage.
