The Baptistery of Florence, dating from the 11th century, has three amazing gates decorated with reliefs that show the evolution of art from the Late Middle Ages to the Early Renaissance. We start with Pisano’s South gate (1336), then we move to Ghiberti’s North gate (1401-1425) and we finish with Ghiberti’s Gates of Paradise (1425-1450).
