Les Halles de la Matinière was a former covered food market owned by the municipality of Lyon located in the old center. Several cooperative companies (GRAP, Etic, La Cuisine Itinérante…) and some citizens from the neighbourhood undertook the project in order to gather different food activities in this quasi abandoned place. In 2017 (after more than a year reshaping the building), Les Halles de la Martinière reopened as a sustainable food location offering: a food court, a grocery store and a bar.
