Welcome to Osu, a native community in Accra, Ghana. Osu was settled by migrants from Osudoku near the Akwapim hills. The name “Osu” means “we have arrived” in their language. Danish influence during the slave trade led to the construction of Christiansborg Castle in 1661, and Christianity spread.
