Welcome to Osu, a native community in Accra, Ghana. Osu was settled by migrants from Osudoku near the Akwapim hills. The name “Osu” means “we have arrived” in their language. Danish influence during the slave trade led to the construction of Christiansborg Castle in 1661, and Christianity spread. Oxford Street, a bustling hub, transitions from business during the day to a vibrant party destination at night, with numerous nightclubs and pubs, making it a lively center of Accra’s nightlife.
